Fran Brunke, author of Open to Change: The Power of Reflection in Your Yoga Practice
From No-Change to Slow-Change Artist
Formerly an opponent of change, Fran is now pleased to claim her new role as an artist of slow-change.
An Evolutionary Educator
A lifelong educator, Fran has cultivated a particular interest in the evolutionary path. Her career as a high school
teacher evolved into an odyssey of teaching yoga,
as well as training yoga teachers, and leading retreats. She has an abiding interest in the healing power of the written word.
She maintains an ongoing relationship to all things natural and unseen. She is a trained flower essence practitioner.
Open to Change is her first book.
Yoga Teacher and Yoga Nidra
Fran has been living and loving yoga for 30 years. She is a senior teacher and trainer at Blue Door Yoga Room, in Woodbridge, ON where her classes are known as a sanctuary from the stresses and strains of the everyday. A registered iRest Teacher since 2007, she offers popular iRest yoga nidra sessions to the weary and the sleepless in and around Toronto.
A member of the Yoga Alliance, and KYTA (Kripalu Yoga Teachers' Association), Fran lives and teaches in and around Toronto, and blissfully escapes to Costa Rica in the winter. A book on sun salutations is planned for 2010.
